Mr. Blas Arreola
This year Mr. Arreola will be going into his 6th year teaching at Alliance College Ready Middle Academy #5. He is very excited to see his former and new students preparing themselves for high school and life itself. He will do the best possible to help out all students as best he can and assure that they are learning as well as having fun at the same time. Mr. Arreola has high expectations for all of his students and expects all students to participate to their best of their ability
Background: Mr. Arreola is a Physical Education and Health teacher who received his education (studies) in the following order. In May 2010 he received his AA degree in General Studies from El Camino College Compton Center. Following then in May 2012 he received his BA in Physical Education from the California State University of Dominguez Hills, graduating with the highest honors of Summa Cum Laude, with a GPA of 3.87. It is also in the same University, a year later in May 2013, where he received his teaching credentials.
Mr. Arreola has been working in the education field since 2007. He was a program leader for an after school program “Winners Reaching Amazing Potential” (WRAP) for the Long Beach Unified School District from 2007-2009. Being offered another opportunity, he would become a site-coordinator for an after school credit recovery program, “After School Safety and Enrichments for Teens” (ASSET’s) for the Compton Unified School District (CUSD) from 2009-2013. He has also coached several sports such as soccer and volleyball at Dominguez High School (CUSD), where he also did his student teaching and many hours of observations.
His vision is for all students to be physically educated, having acquired motor skills to perform a variety of physical activities, physical fitness and health knowledge, and intrinsic motivation to pursue a healthy and active lifestyle in our community.
